About the Photographer

Joe Findley is truly inspired by nature!  His interest in nature and wildlife photography started in the early 1980's while he was training for the US Air Force, in Colorado, where he spent his leisure time hiking in the foothills and mountains with his first Nikon SLR. 

Since that time, Joe has traveled on assignment and for pleasure through many states and countries capturing stunning images of wildflowers, bear, elk, mountains, sunsets and rises, birds, landscapes, and more. Living in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado enhanced his sensitivity to the subtle energies of nature allowing him to capture the true essence of life in the wild. 

More recently, Joe has traveled to the Artic and Antarctica where he captured penguins, whales, walrus, polar bear and huge icebergs. Many of these images are displayed in the private gallery, viewable by contacting him to schedule and appointment. 

Currently, his preferred equipment is the Nikon Digital SLR which produces the richest colors possible that unlock the natural beauty of each subject.
